What does cold weather do to your skin?
- Cold temperatures and winds can dry out your skin and take away the natural oils on your face.
- You are more than likely to be in drier atmospheres indoors due to heating, this again dries out your skin and can make it flake.
- The sudden change in temperature i.e. going from an indoor heat to the cold outside can encourage your skin to flare up and cause blotchiness and irritation.
- Sore, cracked lips and cold sores are a common skin issue in the winter because of the harsher conditions.
